Peter C. Contino is a Partner in the firm’s Professional Liability Practice Group resident in the Uniondale office. As a trial attorney, Mr. Contino’s practice includes the defense of professional liability, commercial liability, products liability, public entity liability and other insurance related litigation.
A founding partner of Rivkin Radler’s Professional Liability Practice Group, these kinds of matters have been the focus of Mr. Contino’s practice for over 20 years. His broad base of experience in the defense of professional liability litigation and disciplinary proceedings includes hundreds of cases involving the representation of lawyers, accountants, insurance brokers and agents, police professionals, school administrators and public officials, computer consultants, home inspectors, real estate brokers and agents and a host of other miscellaneous professionals.
Mr. Contino’s practice also includes the representation of manufacturers in product liability litigation. Industries represented include: plumbing and bathroom fixtures; medical device manufacturers; turf and garden equipment manufacturers; milling, molding and manufacturing equipment; hand tools and woodworking equipment; fire suppression systems and equipment and consumer applicance manufacturers.
Before joining Rivkin Radler LLP in 1981, Mr. Contino had four years of law firm experience in defense of Fidelity and Surety Insurers and medical malpractice cases. Mr. Contino was a faculty member of the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, Northeast Regional Program from 1985 through 1989 and is presently a member of the Hofstra University School of Law Trial Advocacy Program.
