Social media is social, so you should be interacting with others just as much as they are interacting with you. Don’t wait for people to come to you. Reach out to people and especially to companies that are in the same industry on social media. If you reach out, they are much more likely to reciprocate and at least look at your content just for contacting them. Engaging with their content and having your content engaged by them will increase your overall outreach and widen your circle or social interaction. Want to make sure they see your content? Add a picture to the page of a company you admire: Images are the most viewed and shared posts on Facebook, and will greatly increase the likelihood of someone seeing and responding to your post.
