Gioia, Angelo
Angelo Gioia is a respected name within the insurance industry, where he has accumulated more than 40 years of experience and accomplishments, including a degree in Insurance from The College of Insurance, which is now known as the of School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science a division of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business and part of St. John’s University.
He is well known in the industry and is a recognized expert in the area of professional liability. His extensive experience includes a number of successes as a professional liability underwriter, Insurance Broker, Expert Witness & Strategic Planner. Commitment to underwriting profitability, product knowledge and expertise from all aspects of a transaction including production, state of the market, competition, rates and forms, risk selection and understanding the elements of a desirable risk.
Gioia dedication to excellence and technical expertise led him to found the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS). Established in 1987 as a nonprofit organization, PLUS is one of the largest professional insurance organizations in the world, with a membership exceeding 6,000. Gioia also helped develop the PLUS RPLU designation program.
In 2007, Gioia created AgentsofAmerica.ORG an organization dedicated to the personal and professional growth, stability and management of its agent members and their agencies. AOA is an Insurance Agents Association and indispensable resource for news, products, services, education and industry information throughout America. The organization’s Mission is to deliver the BEST, people, products, information and services to Agents to help them manage, and grow their business, increase their revenues and provide ongoing value to their clients.
