Insurance Educational Association Partners with AgentsofAmerica.org as Education Provider and Product Developer
– October 12, 2009 - AgentsOfAmerica.ORG (AOA) is proud to announce that beginning immediately, the Insurance Educational Association will partner with AOA to deliver professional and technical courses covering a wide range of topics and to assist in the future development of AOA’s planned risk management courses. Roy Little, President and CEO of IEA will also be a featured author and insurance industry and continuing education expert for the company.
IEA is a premier provider of training and development for the property casualty, risk management and disability management industries. Founded in 1876, IEA is quickly moving beyond its historic stronghold in California and the West through innovative instructional techniques which respond to student needs for excellence in content matched with accessibility through online and related course delivery. IEA offers all major Insurance Institute courses, including ARM, INS and the CPCU designation. Additionally, the Insurance Educational Association is a major provider of courses leading to mastery of the complex California workers’ compensation market. Mr. Little brings more than thirty years of industry experience to IEA, having served in executive roles with Cigna, Argonaut, and Fireman's Fund. He has been the CFO of four companies or divisions, SVP and general manager of two major insurance businesses, insurance practice director for a successful technology start up, and president of a claims company. Mr. Little is a member of the California Department of Insurance Curriculum Board and is actively involved in the initiatives of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation.
As President and CEO of the Insurance Educational Association, Mr. Little has led the drive to expand IEA's customer reach into new geographic areas and new customer groups. Key to this effort is a suite of online self-study courses. These courses, first introduced on a limited basis earlier this year, enable students to learn when and where they want. In addition, they allow study at a reduced cost to students and their employers. This more efficient delivery model is especially relevant in today’s economic environment. Having earned his MBA while on active duty with the Air Force, Mr. Little understands the unique dynamics of professional education while working full-time.
